UK Cottages Prove Popular with Germans
Excuse the verbose and less than snappy headline to this but I wanted to avoid any obvious references to invasions and the like. But this intriguing story in the Telegraph caught my eye: UK Cottage Breaks are proving to be very popular this year with our German and Dutch cousins.
The reason for this is the plummeting value of the pound, which makes our shores uber attractive to the canny Germanic holiday maker.
The only downside to this is that since many of us can't afford to go abroad this year, there's a limited pool of cottages available for us to book and some people are being left disappointed and having to book now for 2010, according to that report.
So don't dilly dally, go book your cottage break now!
